Fishing: Went to check out new spot since now we have wheels which opens up a whole new world. Got out and wet waded at low tide all the way east to a flat I saw on google maps. Got there and it was high and dry. By the time I was there it was low slack. Walked around and looked at the surf but didn’t cast, then went back over and decided to wade out and see how far I could get. By then, tide had started in. I waded out about 80 yds or so and it was still about thigh deep. Then it started to drop slightly to slightly deeper water. I decided to make a few casts and ended up hooking a small schoolie and was stoked to just find fish. Kept fishing around the same spot and ended up landing several more and a few bluefish. Bluefish were about 5-7 lbs and the stripers were quite small with the biggest in the low 20 inch range. Still quite fun. Eventually action subsided as tide came in more. Went up to the flat and fished around, but didn’t see anything. Fished the dropoff pretty hard but no more takers. Cool spot though, but a decent 40 minute walk out there.
