Water Level / Tide: High at 5 a.m. fished outgoing into Low at 11 and then high again at 4:30 p.m.
Water Clarity/Quality: brownish in great south bay, crystal clear ocean side
Moon Phase: 3 days prior to new
Fishing: Fished the surfside a.m. on way out for naught. Fished the inlet tip most of the day for 5 or 6 small bluefish on deep sinking line and clouser also one robin. At beginning of incoming mid day, good bird action in eastern pocket surfside, bigger waves south wind, tough cast, hooked one small schoolie there and lost it on the beach. Hooked a few smaller blues on the walk back bayside in the pockets on incoming. Shitload of boats in the inlet mid day fluking, circus show. Early a.m. pretty quiet. Richie was fishless.
