Green River Below Flaming Gorge A Section 6-27-2015

Date / Time: Saturday, June 27, 2015 6-9pm Location: Green River Utah evening A section float The Characters: KK, BK, Matt Olson Weather: Mostly sunny, warm Water Temp: 58 degrees at dam according to USGS Water Level: Coming up to 2400 or so around 6pm Water Clarity/Quality: Crystal Moon Phase: Between first quarter and full Hatches: Caddis Best Flies: Goldilox, KK Caddis Fishing: Drove out for evening and full day next day. Got on water around 6 and threw streamers initially since it had just come up. Streamers were hit and miss, but got some good fish. As we got lower, switched to caddis as they started to show. Got some eats and progressively more as the light faded and tons of caddis showed. Fishing was still hit and miss though, we got some good fish and sick eats but a lot of good drifts went untouched. Ended up being a decent evening, but not as good as I had though or hoped.
