Green River Flaming Gorge 9-22 & 9-23-2012

Date / Time: 9-22 afternoon evening and mid day 9-23-2012 Location: Section B 9-22 and section A 9-23 The Characters: Kory and Tammy. Weather: Mostly sunny, high 70s Water Temp: mid to high 50s guess Water Level: Low around 1100 Water Clarity/Quality: clear. Moon Phase: Around first quarter Fishing: Drove up Saturday afternoon and floated B on Saturday. Got on around 3pm and threw hoppers. Got several good eats and some good fish. Wasn’t on fire, but good consistent enough action. There were a fair amount of fish up on pseudos, but didn’t really target them. Fished streamers off and on, but fish weren’t on it at all. Threw the beetle a little bit and some fish into it, but hopper best overall. Got some nice rainbows some pretty hot fish and good quality browns. Missed some big fish eats. Evening below red creek sucked even with streamers but got down and realized a fair amount of boats ahead. Day 2: Floated A section from 10-2 or so and it was pretty spotty. Got some fish on the beetle and smallish dries, fished the streamer a bunch and it sucked. Not much really happening, some fish on pseudos in a few places but didn’t mess with them. Quick float before we headed home.
