Floated with Brenton and Brian before I had to head home after guiding for two previous days. Hit sporadic risers in various spots on upper end after pushing way down and then hatch got really going by the time we hit dripping springs and from 2 or so on it was carpet hatch. Slayed all along dripping left in the rocks and then all along the usual spots from there down. Got some great fish in great shape especially in the rock cliffs below can of worms on the right. Brenton had a tougher go of things. BK and I crushed. It was an awesome afternoon, calm, carpet hatch, overcast as good as it gets. Guide days were with Wayne Cantrell who became a good client and came back later in the summer and crushed with me on sallies. Nymphed with Wayne and other guy conventional and crushed on 8-9’ rig with zebras, bwos, scuds and especially bwos as hatch kicked in. Hinich had beginners in other boat and they had a tougher time. We did AB first day and and B straight second as I recall. Both days hatch didn’t materialize until late in the day and we didn’t do any dries.
