Green River Fontenelle 7-14-2013
Date / Time: 7-14-2013 Location: Wade fishing flats above car body and channels around car body. The Characters: Kory and Tammy. Weather: Calm and mostly sunny. Breezy off and on afternoon, but not consistent. Hot weather upper 80s or so. Water Temp: Low 60s guess Water Level: Low around 820 Water Clarity/Quality: clear. Moon Phase: 1 day before first quarter. Bugs: Tricos, PMDs, Caddis, Few Sallies. Fishing: Writing this a year later, but wanted it to be recorded so details are spotty. Headed to Fontenelle on way home from Utah Green Red Canyon. Got there mid morning and fish were going ballistic right in the flat. Worked them pretty hard, got a few I think on PA, many fish were hard to not put down. Think I got them on the rusty too. Dudes were in sidechannels, and eventually went down and realized it was Zach and a buddy. They had similar experience. Fish were tough and I think ultimately the sprout and the rusty spinner were best patterns. Fished for about 4-5 hour while Tammy slept in the truck under a tree.
