Green River, Utah: January 22, 2011

Date / Time: 1/22/2011 Location: Green River Little Hole Wading The Characters: Kory Kapaloski Weather: Partly cloudy, very windy Water Temp: 38-39 Water Level / Tide: Low 900 cfs or so and stable (had dropped earlier in the day as a result of dual peak releases) Water Clarity/Quality: Crystal Clear Moon Phase: Just after full moon Fishing: Dropped Tam off in Altamont night before and drove out mid morning arriving around noon to howling winds and icy temps. Fished little hole solo not a soul around then one car showed up but that was it. Brutal conditions really. Crossed and fished up along cliffs looking for risers. Found a few, but super sporadic and didn’t get any. Got one swinging a soft hackle, but other not having it. Shallow nymphed a few up walking up above catwalk, then went a little deeper and hooked a few more but nothing special. Got fish on various beadheads. Walked down to Larry’s corner and crossed for the end and threw some peg eggs. Hooked a few initially, then they weren’t having it. Good to get out but ruthlessly windy and cold.
