Green River, Utah: January 23, 2011
Date / Time: 1/23/2011 Location: A section float The Characters: Kory Kapaloski, Aaron Adams Weather: Mostly sunny and dead calm (huge contrast to previous day) Water Temp: 38-39 Water Level / Tide: Low 900 cfs or so and stable (had dropped earlier in the day as a result of dual peak releases) Water Clarity/Quality: Crystal Clear Moon Phase: Just after full moon Fishing: Aaron came up with his new drift boat, an old slide rite. We had a good time reminiscing the previous night and had a slow morning since we thought it would be colder than it was. By the time we breakfasted and shuttled it was about 12:30 pm and it was super warm. Would have been better to get on earlier, but oh well. Fished streamers mostly then realized there were a shitload of fish up. Stopped and tried a few and hooked a couple but needed to get out to do it right and never did, so went back to the streamer. Tried various colors and the sculpin that i have been tying with olive chenille head and black rabbit matuka and crystal chenille body with olive brown color far and above outfished the rest.
