After my previous evening where I couldn’t get the fish at the last light and first dark period I had tied several smaller baitfish that I really wanted to try. I headed to Rockcliff for a couple hours before dark. Unfortunately, when I got there the water had dropped 3 more feet and the end of the ramp was complete mud and the lake level was too low to launch without dragging my boat over the mud or potentially driving out and getting stuck so no boat. I decided since I was there to walk over to the inlet across the mud and found a route and way to the edge without too much issue other than muddy shoes. I spotted a dying kokanee on the edge and though I might run into a few browns on the streamer. I had the intermediate hover line since it was already rigged and not worth riggin anything else. Threw various streamers in various weights and colors up and down the inlet and never touched a fish. Saw a few fish rise and a few explode out of range and left skunked. Bummer I couldn’t get out in the boat. Think I could do it if I wadered up and put the boat on the wheels.
