Lower Provo, Utah: April 7, 2011
Date / Time: 4/7/2011 Location: Lower Provo River The Characters: Kory Kapaloski, Paul Callister (PJ) Weather: Partly Cloudy, light off and on rain, occasional wind. Water Temp: 40ish (guess) Water Level / Tide: High for time of year 750 cfs or so Water Clarity/Quality: Crystal Clear Moon Phase: Just before 1st quarter Fishing: Blew off the afternoon and headed down with PJ. Water had come up another 300 cfs so wasn’t sure how it would go. Fished hoover and down and it was actually excellent. Fish up very good on BWOs. Fished around flat below hoover and banks around and got several decent fish. Walked down and hit a few in an eddy with PJ then went down just above pines and i crossed and PJ stayed on our side. Fish were up along the edge in all of the pockets and next to the bushes and I walked up and banged one after another up behind them. A lot of decent size fish and then one really nice 18-19” that ripped me up and was in great shape. Met back up with PJ and he had got a few more, but it was tapering off so we headed out. Pretty good afternoon.
