Provo River 1-27-2013

Date / Time: 1/27/2013 **Location:**Lower Provo The Characters: Kory Weather: Partly cloudy, occasional snow shower. Water Temp: High 30s Low 40s Water Level: Low 113 cfs Water Clarity/Quality: clear. Moon Phase: Full or close to. Fishing: Front moving in, headed to the river and got there at 11:30. Fished below campground and up through lower half. Fished less weight and shallow rig as water was quite low and previous trip to hoover on deep rig was no good. Hooked a bunch of fish in deepest part and slowest part of each run. Sows and kauffmans’ olive timberline old school. Tried a bunch of tiny stuff and miscleaneous but that seemed to be best. Mostly rainbows from 14-16” or so, good battlers healthy. Few nice browns. Hooked fish in long stretch below campround, small river left micro run in lower camprgound above big hole and in tailout of big run at bottom of where side channel comes in. Quite good fishing considering super cold water and very little bug activity.
