Sevier River 9-30-2012

Date / Time: 9-30-2012 late afternoon Location: Sevier River Marysvale Canyon The Characters: Kory and Tammy. Only Kory fished Weather: Mostly sunny, high 70s Water Temp: mid to high 50s guess Water Level: Very low around 20 cfs Water Clarity/Quality: clear. Moon Phase: Full or close to. Harvest moon. Fishing: Fished the Sevier in Marysvale on the way home from Tammy’s Young family reunion. Looked at the river all along around hatch, in black canyon etc. and it looked good but didn’t fish until got to Marysvale. Water was super low down there though, but went for it. Fished below Big Rock Candy, threw hoppers and got a bunch of smaller fish and a few decent ones. Threw the olive sculpin in a few spots and got a few bigger fish to grab and swipe but didn’t stick any. Some of the deepest best looking holes didn’t produce. Probably should have nymphed but didn’t fished two spots one a few miles below the railroad cars and then another down where the river makes a big bend.
