Strawberry Below Starvation 7-4-2013

Date / Time: 7/4/2013 Location: Strawberry below starvation The Characters: Kory Weather: Mostly cloudy, warm but cooler. Water Temp: Cooler, mid 50s guess. Water Level: Higher 414 release. Water Clarity/Quality: Clear. Moon Phase: 5 days before new. Bugs: Midges, sporadic pmds later. Fishing:  Headed over early while Tam slept. River looked great, parked up by dam. Looked for risers and bugs but very little activity. Threw hopper dropper in a few pools for nothing. Threw streamer through one pool different colors for nothing. Walked around looking and found a couple, threw various droppers no eats from those fish. Ended up nymphing after a couple hours of no hookups. Pounded a few spots no fish. Finaly hooked one and lost it. I could see fish here and there and put the fly over them but never could get any to eat. All looked like they weren’t feeding a few maybe occasional. Could not get them to eat though. Eventually towards 1pm few pmds here and there but I had to head out so left with no results.
