Water Temp: High 50s guess **Water Level:**345 cfs Water Clarity/Quality: Clear **Moon Phase:**4 days after New Moon Hatches: PMDs, Sallies, Sporadic Caddis, Midges **Best Flies:**Cripple PMDs, Yellow PMD Spinner Fishing: Writing this almost a month late, so details fuzzy. Jeannie was in town for something and stayed the night, so offered to take Anna to Altamont for day and I could meet her in Duchesne to pick her up. Jumped on that and headed out solo. Weather was ideal for PMDs with T storms that never really hit direct but provided good cloud cover. Got on water around 11:30 or so and went to S curves. Spotted a few fish chowing nymphs 6 inches or so under surface and got a few immediately on the #18 PMD copper beadhead I had tied. Worked down and risers were there right away. Fished those and got several to eat a cripple I think and missed them. Worked up and found risers in the bend I had fished with Tom Rosenbauer, and immediately missed one of those. Brown-1T storm moving in so waited it out a bit under the rocks and it never hit hard, so went back out in light rain. Fish were up on the bend and I missed another one I think and then stuck one on the cripple. Fished them from other side and hooked a couple but ripping hot and unbuttoned. Then found one that I almost stepped on and got it to eat with only leader out, it ripped good and got that one big fish around 20”. Continued up and ultimately found good risers in the cliffs and stuck one in the rear and got somewhat worked by the others in the swirly water. Missed them once or twice but never stuck those. Found one along the cliffs at top of the edge and it was moving all over, but I got the super tough drift and stuck it, good fish. Found a bunch in the super shallow water above the bends and stuck several of those all nice fish. Worked back down and hit the bend again and S curves. I don’t remember exactly, but tons of PMDs coming off and it was overall killer day.
